Custom Made Orthotic Devices

Custom made orthotics are an orthopedic device used to assist a variety of conditions related to the feet, lower limbs and spine. Dr. MacDonald uses foam casting combined with information from the Initial Assessment as the method for creating a truly custom orthotic for each individual. There are over 50 modifications that can be used to accommodate each person’s individual needs.

What can be Expected on the Initial Assessment?

During your Initial Visit, Dr. MacDonald will perform a thorough intake which is comprised of a detailed history and examination. Components of the examination will include posture, gait analysis, biomechanical, orthopedic and neurological assessment. After this is completed, you can expect a full diagnosis and plan of management.
